As part the Circle Line Extension works Thorntask were appointed by LUL Nominee SSL to carry out the installation of station signage at every Circle Line Station on the London Underground Network. This undertaking involved the installation of over 300 signs, all required to be installed within a two month period to accommodate the project completion date and opening of the Circle Line Extension.
Thorntask’s scope of works included;
Works were completed during engineering hours only and in accordance with London Underground Standards and Contract QUENSH Conditions.
- Pre-works survey and site inspection
- Installation of bases to receive platform mounted signage
- Installation of brackets and fixings for suspended signage
- All electrical works for illuminated signage
- Project Handback including; pull tests, electrical inspection, etc.
