This project was for the installation of four new Train Indicator Displays at for the platforms at Earls Court London Underground Station.
Thorntask were contracted by LUL Nominee SSL to carry out the following;
- Identify cable routes
- Survey and Identify local Switchroom
- Install Fibre Optic Data Terminal Point
- Installation of a cabinet with the hardware for fibre termination located within
- Supply and install Fibre Optic Data Cables
- Supply and install Steel Wired Armoured (SWA) electrical cables
- Supply and install appropriate cable management system (CMS) containment where required
- Install all TID’s in agreed locations specified, including Design, manufacture and supply all necessary TID mountings and fixings
- Test all electrical installation and supplies prior to commissioning to BS7671 (amended to 2008)
Electrical Works were carried out l to the requirements of BS7671:2008 as amended and additionally each TID was tested and commissioned in accordance with London Underground Standards
